Bihar Police arrested Rajesh Sah, the main accused in the life-threatening attack on Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s brother, Bijendra Nath Tiwari. The weapon allegedly used in the crime and blood-stained clothes have also been recovered.
Tiwari was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon late Sunday night. After sustaining serious injuries, he was admitted to AIIMS Patna, where his condition is reported to be stable. Doctors have said he is now out of danger.

Addressing a press conference in Patna on Monday, Sudhanshu Kumar, Additional Director General (ADG), Law and Order, said the attack was linked to a land dispute. He confirmed that Tiwari was assaulted with an axe and that police had arrested the main accused. Police also recovered the axe allegedly used in the attack.
According to a police press release, the incident took place in Belsand village under the Madhopur police station area of Gopalganj district. On receiving information about the attack, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-2) and the Madhopur Station House Officer rushed to the scene.
The injured man was taken to Sadar Hospital, Gopalganj, and was later referred to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment. Police also collected forensic and other scientific evidence from the crime scene.
The investigation revealed that the attack stemmed from a long-standing land dispute. During the probe, the name of a neighbour, Rajesh Sah, surfaced, leading to his arrest.
According to the press release, police recovered the axe allegedly used in the attack, along with a blood-stained shirt and trousers believed to have been worn by the accused at the time of the incident. The accused has been produced for further legal proceedings.
