Security has been spruced up for the 51st visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his parliamentary constituency in the temple city here on Saturday.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to reach Varanasi on Friday evening and will be welcoming the PM at the airport Saturday morning.

Prime Minister will address a public meeting at Banauli (Kalika Dham) in Sevapuri where around 50,000 people will be present. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 52 development projects worth about Rs 2,200 crore before his public address.
The PM will also release the next installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Kashi on the occasion. PM will release Rs 20,500 crore to 9.7 crore farmers in which 2.3 crore farmers from UP will get Rs 4,600 crore.
BJP regional president Dilip Patel said this will be the 51st Kashi visit of Prime Minister Modi.
The PM will land at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at 10:25 am. After this, the PM will reach Banauli (Kalika Dham) of Sevapuri assembly constituency by helicopter, where he will address the public meeting.
In each of the 20 blocks built at the public meeting venue, one in-charge and 12-12 officials have been specially deployed. Separate seating arrangements have been made for VIPs, women, farmers, intellectuals, media and Divyangjans.
The major schemes to be inaugurated and laid the foundation stone include the foundation stone of a new 50-bed government hospital in Sewapuri (costing around Rs 5 crore), foundation stone of the newly constructed building of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, widening of Dalmandi area, underground cabling in the old city (Phase II), street lighting, drainage and drinking water improvement under Smart City, construction of rural roads and connectivity routes and expansion of primary health services.
Meanwhile, elaborate decorations are being done in Varanasi city and rural areas to welcome the Prime Minister. More than 1,000 hoardings, BJP flags, welcome arches are being made, decorative work at major sites is in its final stages.
Apart from this, a special Swachhata Pakhwada was also held from July 28 to August 1, under which more than 150 sites have been cleaned.
