India and Pakistan will hold on 14 July the second meeting to discuss the draft agreement for finalising the modalities of the Kartarpur Saheb Corridor at Attari-Wagah Border.

Pakistan, on Tuesday, conveyed to India its readiness for the holding the meeting on 14 July. This was in response to New Delhi’s proposal to Islamabad for holding the meeting between 11-14 July. The first meeting on the corridor was held on 14 March.

Pakistan has asked India to convey the composition of its delegation, a Pakistan foreign office press release said.

Official sources here, however, stated that Islamabad was yet to officially convey the proposed date for the meeting to New Delhi.

Despite tensions in bilateral ties, both India and Pakistan have expressed their commitment to expedite the progress on the corridor to ensure that it was operationalised in time for the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak in November.
