Two terrorists were gunned down by security forces after a gunfight with militants that broke out in Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

“As the cordon was tightened, the militants fired at the security forces triggering the ongoing gunfight,” police sources said.

The search operation is still being carried on.
An official said as the forces were conducting the searches, the militants fired upon them and the security personnel retaliated.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have suspended mobile internet services in the district.
