Two students among six killed in Srinagar boat mishap
At least six people, including two school children, were killed early morning on Tuesday when a boat ferrying them on the river Jhelum capsized in the outskirts of Srinagar.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
1. Soldier General Duty
The candidate must have passed Matric with 45 per cent marks in aggregate and 33 per cent marks in each subject. At least 33 per cent marks are required in class 10th.
2. Soldier Technical
The candidate must be 10+2/Intermediate exam pass in science with physics, chemistry, maths, and English. He should have 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in each subject.
3. Soldier Technical (Aviation/ Ammunition Examiner)
The candidate must be 10+2/Intermediate exam pass in science with physics, chemistry, maths, and English. He should have 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent in each subject or a three-year diploma in engineering
4. Soldier Nursing Assistant/ Soldier Technical Dresser (RVC)
The candidate must be 10+2/Intermediate exam pass in science with physics, chemistry, biology, and English. He should have 50 per cent marks in aggregate and min 40 per cent in each subject. However, the candidate should have studied all the four specified subjects in class 12 also.
5. Soldier Tradesman Chef, Mess Keeper, House Keeper, Tailor, Dresser, Support Staff
The candidate must be 10th/ITI
6. Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical/ Inventory Management
The candidate must be 10+2/Intermediate exam pass in any stream with 60 per cent marks in aggregate and minimum 50 per cent in each subject.
Important information:
The age limit for a candidate is 17.5 to 23 years.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of written test, medical test and Physical Measurement.
