A junior commissioned officer (JCO) serving in the Indian Army was reportedly abducted from his residence in Manipur’s Thoubal district by anti-social elements, according to officials.

The abducted JCO, identified as Konsam Kheda Singh, is a resident of the area. Though the motive behind the abduction remains unclear, initial reports suggest it may be related to extortion, given previous threats received by his family.

Upon receiving this information, authorities have initiated a coordinated search operation to locate the missing JCO. However, further details regarding the abduction are still awaited.
