The hunt for the origins of Covid-19 has for the past four years been a tangled web of politics, power struggles, and international finger-pointing.
India has registered 105 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Union Health ministry said on Tuesday.
The overall caseload of the country rose to 4,50,28,268 with the addition of the new cases of infections. It also included the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
Of the new cases, Karnataka reported the highest with 18 cases, followed by Maharashtra 16 and Rajasthan 13.

Eleven each cases were reported from Delhi and Chhattisgarh.
According to the data of the ministry, one more succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 5,33,473.
On the other hand, 122 people recuperated from the disease. The recovery tally stood at 4,44,93,920.
The active cased in the country stands at 875.
