Powerful IEDs recovered near LoC ahead of polling for Udhampur seat
Reports said that the IEDs were recovered near the Line of Control (LoC) in a joint search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police.
Four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces on Tuesday in Kupwara area of North Kashmir.
Colonel Rajesh Kalia, the spokesman of the Army, said that the operation at Halmatpura in Kupwara was continuing and four terrorists have so far been eliminated.
The gunfight broke out when terrorists, hiding in the forest, fired at a security force party of the Rashtriya Rifles and the state police’s Special Operations Group (SOG).

The encounter broke out in the afternoon when the security forces cordoned the area where the terrorists were hiding.
