‘False case, efforts to supress my voice’: What Avimukteshwaranand said on POCSO court’s FIR order

Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on Saturday said that the child sex abuse allegations levelled against him are “false”, alleging that efforts are being made to suppress his voice.

Speaking to reporters after an Uttar Pradesh court ordered the registration of an FIR against him, Avimukteshwaranand said that the registration of an FIR is right because the truth can emerge only after the case is filed.

“That’s right, because only when a case is filed can further proceedings begin. For now, we’ve been targeted with a false case. The truth will emerge. Only then will those responsible be punished,” he said.

He urged the court to act swiftly to establish the facts without any delay. “Therefore, we urge the court to act swiftly on this matter, without delaying it. The court should establish that the false case will remain so…,” he said.

He further claimed that the case against him is an attempt to suppress his voice.

“We are raising our voice for ‘Gau Mata,’ and therefore, many efforts are being made to suppress my voice…,” he added.

His remarks came shortly after the ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court in Prayagraj directed the Uttar Pradesh police to register an FIR against Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in connection with the allegations of sexual exploitation.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand POCSO case: ‘Justice has been delivered,’ says complainant Ashutosh Brahmachari after court orders FIR

ADJ (POCSO Act) Vinod Kumar Chaurasia ordered the registration of an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Swami Mukundanand Giri. The court also directed police to conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations of sexual exploitation of 20 children in his camp.

The development comes days after Ashutosh Brahmachari filed a complaint in Prayagraj’s Special Rape and POCSO Court on February 8, alleging that the Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya has sexually abused children in his Ashram. The application under Section 173(4) was filed after the Jhunsi police allegedly failed to register a case.

The court heard the matter on February 13. During the hearing, Ashutosh Brahmachari even presented two minor ‘victims’ in an attempt to substantiate his allegations. The court had recorded the statements of both the minors. After recording their statements and taking cognisance of the police report, the court had reserved its judgment.

Ashutosh Brahmachari has alleged that Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati “sexually exploits” minor children at his Ashram. He even claimed to have submitted a CD containing “evidence” before the court.
