Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj, a disciple of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya and head of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust, who filed the lawsuit against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Ashutosh Brahmachari welcomed the Prayagraj Rape and POCSO Special Court’s FIR order, saying, “Justice has been delivered from the temple of justice.”
Speaking to reporters after the court’s order, Ashutosh Maharaj said, “Hearing the sexual assault and abuse committed against our minor children, orders have been issued to the Jhunsi police station. Now we are confident that the day is not far off when such criminals, hypocrites who call themselves fake Shankaracharyas, will be exposed in the name of Sanatan.”

Advocate SK Manas said, “Ashutosh Maharaj is the plaintiff in this case, he is the guardian of those children…The serious points of the case, which include pen drives, videos, CCTV footage, those points, on which the attention of the court was drawn and told, were first reviewed by the witnesses. This includes stripping the children naked and committing obscene acts, along with numerous other forms of exploitation, some were even lower than animal instincts. It is not the children who are abused, it is the Sanatan culture that is abused…”
His reaction came shortly after the ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court in Prayagraj directed the Uttar Pradesh police to register an FIR against Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in connection with the allegations of sexual exploitation.
ADJ (POCSO Act) Vinod Kumar Chaurasia ordered the registration of an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Swami Mukundanand Giri. The court also directed police to conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations of sexual exploitation of 20 children in his Ashram.
Ashutosh Brahmachari had filed a complaint in Prayagraj’s Special Rape and POCSO Court on February 8, alleging that the Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya has sexually abused children in his Ashram. The application under Section 173(4) was filed after the Jhunsi police allegedly failed to register a case.
The court heard the matter on February 13. During the hearing, Ashutosh Brahmachari even presented two minor ‘victims’ in an attempt to substantiate his allegations. The court had recorded the statements of both the minors. After recording their statements and taking cognisance of the police report, the court had reserved its judgment.
Ashutosh Brahmachari has alleged that Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati “sexually exploits” minor children at his Ahsram. He even claimed to have submitted a CD containing “evidence” before the court.
