He further said, “Service is PM Narendra Modi’s inspiration, and Nation First is his pledge. Keeping this in mind, the BJP is observing Seva Pakhwada from his birthday till the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. Today, health camps are being held for women and families across thousands of locations. For the environment, initiatives like Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam and cleanliness drives will continue for 15 days,” he added.

Nadda said that work is underway towards making the country self-reliant, and added that PM Modi has also said that anything made in India with the sweat of Indians is truly ‘swadeshi’, and everyone must support it.

“On October 2, we should all pledge to adopt khadi and contribute to making India self-reliant and strong,” the BJP national president added.

“When we speak of ‘swadeshi’, we refer to indigenous achievements like fighter jets and BrahMos missiles – not borrowed, but made with our own capability,” he said.

Earlier, during the morning hours, as part of the service fortnight that began on Wednesday celebrating PM’s birthday, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta led the party workers by donating blood first, inspiring others to serve, at the mega camp organized at the Kartavya Path, India Gate.

Simultaneously, blood donation and health check-up camps were organized across all 14 organizational districts of Delhi under the leadership of local MPs and district presidents of the BJP.

Cleanliness drives also began across all 250 blocks in the national capital, led by the concerned MLAs, councilors, and block presidents of the BJP.

According to the state unit of the saffron party, these initiatives will carry on for the coming two weeks.

After donating blood, Sachdeva said, “Blood donation and health check-up camps are being held in all 14 districts of Delhi under the leadership of MPs and district presidents. The BJP will continue various service activities for 15 days across Delhi, including Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, cleanliness drives, etc. We welcome the initiatives announced by the Delhi government on this occasion as well,” he added.

Sachdeva claimed that Delhiites are happy to see development happening and progressing in the city after a halt of over 10 years.
