Members of Vishva Hindu Parishad and other Hindu organisations held protest near the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi today over the atrocities against Hindus and the mob lynching of a Hindu youth, Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. While marching towards the High Commission, the VHP members were stopped by the security forces. In response, the protestors clashed with security forces and broke barricades outside the Bangladesh High Commission. In view of the protests, heavy security has been deployed in the area.
After the clash erupted between the protestors and police, some members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and other Hindu organisations were detained by police near the Bangladesh High Commission.

Also, members of the Sarbo Bharatiya Hindi Bangali Sangathan and the Bajrang Dal are holding demonstrations near Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro Station against the brutal mob lynching incident.
Bangladesh summons Indian High Commissioner
Notably, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma has been summoned by the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry today, taking note of the protest incidents in New Delhi.
In a statement, Bangladesh Foreign Ministry said, “Bangladesh condemns such acts of premeditated violence or intimidation against diplomatic establishments, which not only endanger the safety of diplomatic personnel but also undermine the principles of mutual respect and values of peace and tolerance.”
“The Government of Bangladesh called upon the Government of India to conduct a thorough investigation into the incidents, to take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such acts and to ensure safety and security of Bangladesh’s diplomatic missions and related facilities in India”, the statement said.
The incidents include vandalism at the Bangladesh Visa Centre in Siliguri on 22 December 2025 and a protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on 20 December 2025.

Killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh
The 27-year-old Hindu youth, Dipu Chandra Das, was allegedly killed in Mymensingh on 18 December. According to reports, Das was beaten to death by a mob and his body was set on fire, over alleged blasphemy charges.
The incident triggered widespread outrage and led to disruption in law and order situation across Bangladesh.
