The octogenarian was a familiar face in most of the social, cultural, and reformist crusades—movements that the Pink City witnessed during the past decades.

His NGO, Muskan Foundation, has been working for awareness on road safety and also working for the rehabilitation of children with low eyesight.

Through institutions like Trimurti and the Ravindra Munch, he guided the emergence of several budding theatre artists and organised many drama and stage shows to highlight social evils and reforms.

Bhasin even tried to make his way into active politics and contested the Rajasthan assembly elections from the Sanganer assembly segment of Jaipur. However, he did not succeed.
