A plenary session of the Congress will be held here from March 16 to 18, wherein it is likely to ratify Rahul Gandhi’s elevation as party President and pave the way for selection of new members of the Congress Working Committee (CWC).

This was decided by the 34-member Steering Committee of the Congress, which was constituted by Rahul Gandhi on Friday after dissolving the highest decision-making body of the party — the CWC — ahead of the plenary.

The plenary will be held ahead of the second half of the Parliament’s Budget Session starting from March 5.
