To add glamour to the wedding of the sons of South Africa-based Gupta brothers in Uttarakhand, Bollywood star Katrina Kaif, singer Badshah and playback singer Abhijeet Sawant arrived in Auli on Thursday.
Many Bollywood stars are likely to perform in the wedding fiction, which will conclude by this week.
The wedding of Ajay Gupta’s son Suryakand, with Pritika, took place in Auli on Thursday with priests chanting Vedic hymns and performing the Hindu rituals.

Earlier this week Bollywood Sufi singer Kailesh Kher had performed in Auli.
In a tweet playback singer Abhijeet Sawant wrote, “At this beautiful place Auli performing for the royal wedding.”

Actress Katrina Kaif, too, was reportedly on her way to Auli.
The Uttarakhand government was in a fix when the Gupta family members’ marriage reached the Uttarakhand High Court.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat defended the move claiming that the event would help the state in promoting destination wedding.
The Uttarakhand government and Gupta brothers are facing the ire of public on social media. Facing sharp criticism for supporting a controversial business family, the state government finds itself in a tight spot.
The government wanted to generate positive publicity through the event, but the recent development has not moved according to their plan.
The South African media has recently carried a report on the Pretoria High Court ordering the Gupta-consultancy Trillian to pay back R600 million to Eskom- which sued Trillian and McKinsey in 2018 for the repayment of money. The High Court in South Africa passed the judgment when the Gupta family was busy in various marriage rituals in Auli on 18 June.
According to sources, many top Uttarakhand politicians have received invitation to attend the wedding. The marriage of Atul Gupta’s son Shashank will take place this week in Auli and some rituals will be performed at Triyuginarayan (Ruderprayag). The process of decorating the Triyuginarayan temple, with marigold flowers, has started.
