With the objective of protecting the Constitution, safeguarding democratic values, and amplifying the voice of the people, the Congress organised a ‘Constitution Dialogue Rally’ at Shastri Ghat on Sunday.
Several prominent Congress leaders, including Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pandey, Pawan Khera, Supriya Shrinate, Ajay Rai, and MPs Kishori Lal Sharma, Imran Masood, Tanuj Punia, and Ujjwal Raman Singh, were present at the event.

Ajay Rai said, “Many attempts were made to buy off Congress workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders tried very hard, but the workers stood with me like rock and steel. Many prominent people succumbed to temptation, but not a single Congress worker in Banaras was bought or bowed down.”
“Yesterday, on the issue of Kashi Dwar, Congress workers entered the minister’s press conference. Congress workers are not afraid. Congress will step in and give a fitting reply, send us to jail!” he challenged.
He further added, “We are ready to go to jail. We have faced the National Security Act and the Gangster Act. We have even served jail time hundreds of kilometres away. Modi ji is taking revenge on the people of Kashi. The houses and shops of the people of Kashi are being demolished. Land is being acquired for several projects, including Kashi Dwar, Dalmandi, and Transport Nagar.” The farmers and common citizens of Kashi are troubled.”
MP Imran Masood said, “If Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life is in danger in Parliament, then he should resign. When your own life is not safe, how can the country be safe?”
National spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “When the Prime Minister and Chief Minister get idols demolished in Kashi, our blood boils. Kashi is a living civilisation. Kashi is mentioned in the Puranas and Vedas. Kashi is the city of Shiva. Ghats are being demolished, idols are being broken, and the head of the state says that it is an AI-generated video.” What happened to the young priests and ascetics at the hands of self-proclaimed guardians of religion is not being shown. Hinduism is being attacked by those intoxicated with power.”
