The Uttar Pradesh Police got a big success in Umesh Pal murder case when a vicious shooter involved in the crime Usman was killed by the police in an encounter here on Monday.
According to information, an encounter took place between the Crime Branch team and accused Vijay alias Usman Choudhury on Monday morning in Prayagraj’s Kaundhiyara police station area.
Usman got shot in the encounter due to which he was seriously injured. The injured was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. Prayagraj Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma has confirmed the encounter.
It was reported that Usman Chaudhary had shot Umesh Pal and the Constable first. There was a reward of Rs 50,000 on the accused Vijay alias Usman.
Earlier, Arbaaz, who was involved in the killing of Umesh Pal and the two constables, was killed in an encounter by the police last Monday. Arbaaz was driving the vehicle in which the shooters attacked Umesh Pal.
After the  car used in the attack was recovered in the Chakia area, the police reached the accused Arbaaz from the engine and chassis number.
In the case of murder of MLA Raju Pal in 2005, his relative and friend Umesh Pal was the main witness. Umesh had fought Raju Pal murder case from the Lower Court to the Supreme Court. For this reason, he had open enmity with the Atiq gang. Umesh, who had gone to testify in the court, was also abducted on February 28, 2008.
On Friday, March 24, at around 4.30 pm, Umesh and his gunner Sandeep were killed in the attack near his residence. Later another security personnel Raghavendra succumbed to injuries.
