Three family members bludgeoned to death in Prayagraj village

A triple murder has shocked the Sangam city. Three members of a family, including two women, were killed in Kukurkatwa village under the Meja police station area of Prayagraj on Tuesday morning, triggering panic and outrage across the region.

Unknown assailants allegedly murdered the three victims by repeatedly striking them on the head. The deceased have been identified as Shyamlal alias Kallu, his wife Manju Devi, and Kallu’s sister-in-law.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Meja police and senior officers rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. A dog squad and a forensic team were also deployed to assist in the probe. The motive behind the killings remains unclear.

Police are questioning family members and local residents, and the investigation is being conducted from multiple angles. The gruesome incident has created an atmosphere of fear and grief in Kukurkatwa village and the surrounding Meja area.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamunanagar) Vivek Yadav said that multiple teams have been constituted to crack the case at the earliest. He added that the investigation has been intensified and that the perpetrators would be arrested soon.
