Delhi: L-G distributes offer letters to 1669 newly recruited Home Guards
Saxena expressed joy on the occasion, as the recruitments had not taken place in this regard for the past 13 years.
Saxena overruled the proposal of DSIIDC for giving extension for only four months.
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has directed the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure development Corporation (DSIIDC) to grant an extension of six months to the allottees in industrial areas of Narela, Bhorgarh and Bawana in the North West Delhi under the Relocation Scheme for depositing the balance cost of plot and for applying for NOC for the construction of factory building.
Saxena overruled the proposal of DSIIDC for giving extension for only four months.
The L-G said that “the proposal of extension of the timeline by four months does not seem to be justified by any reason and may prove to be too less for the allottees to do the needful.”

“If allottees are not taking possession of plots or not constructing units over them, despite having paid the amount for allotment, it is a clear indication that lack of basic services are deterring them from doing so,” Saxena noted in the file.
Saxena expressed his displeasure over the failure of DSIIDC to comply with his direction to place before him the Action Taken Report (ATR) relating to basic services in the areas, even after the lapse of four months, the Delhi LG office said on Wednesday.
The L-G in October 2023, had given a slew of directions to the DSIIDC to make infrastructure conducive for ease of doing business as no up-gradation work was undertaken for the last 10 years, it said.
He had also expressed shock that the situation in the last 26 years since 1996, when the Supreme Court ordered for relocation of industries in non-conforming areas to designated industrial areas, remained static and even the basic things were out of place, it added.
Saxena directed that a Single Window may be set up in DSIIDC for handholding/clearances as required for the benefit of allottees.
The L-G made it clear that an action taken report in this regard may be submitted to his Secretariat within seven days and responsibility on officers for the inaction till now may be fixed.
