Alld HC gives relief to celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib, his son in cheating and fraud cases

The Allahabad High Court on Monday granted major relief to renowned hairstylist Jawed Habib and his son Anoosh Habib after it stayed their arrest in alleged cheating and fraud cases. The court also ordered protection for them until the charge sheet is filed.

A division bench of Justices Siddharth Verma and Achal Sachdev of the court heard the case today and issued the order.

Habib and his son had approached the Allahabad High Court seeking the quashing of the FIR lodged against them in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, and a stay on their arrest.

According to ongoing investigations, the father and son duo have been accused of defrauding people of crores of rupees by promising investment. They, along with one other, have been accused of running a scheme under Follicle Global Company (FLC), where they allegedly took Rs 5-7 lakh from each investor with a promise of 50-70 per cent returns on Bitcoin purchases. A total of 32 such cases have been filed against them so far.

They filed eight petitions in the Allahabad High Court, and all these petitions were heard by the division bench of the Allahabad High Court, granting relief to Jawed Habib and his son Anoosh Habib.
