In a few hours, the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla will be taking place at the grand Ram Temple in Ram Nagari Ayodhya. The Yogi government has decorated the city like a bride, and no effort has been spared to make the ceremony grand and divine-like.

As part of the preparations, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has readied ‘Mahaprasad’ for the VIP guests, who will be attending the Pran Pratishtha programme. The ‘Mahaprasad’ will be given to the guests after Pran Pratistha. Apart from this, food prepared in desi ghee will also be served to the guests on the temple premises.

Mahaprasad is being prepared by Gujarat’s saffron army called ‘Bharti Garvi Gujarat’ and Sant Seva Sansthan under the guidance of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. National President of the institute, Kamal Bhai Rawal said that three responsibilities have been assigned to him by the Trust, including preparing Mahaprasad along with making arrangements for the stay and food of the sants.

He added that Mahaprasad has been prepared with more than 5,000 kg of ingredients by a team of about 200 people. It has been prepared from pure desi ghee, gram flour, sugar and five types of dry fruits. All the ingredients have been prepared by the institute itself to ensure purity of Mahaprasad, he added, pointing out no readymade ingredient from the market has been used.

He further said more than 20,000 packets of Mahaprasad have been prepared. Each packet contains two laddus, water of Sarayu river, Akshat, betel nuts and ‘kalava’ (sacred raw thread). The Mahaprasad packet has been prepared keeping in mind the Sanatani tradition. The packet of Mahaprasad was handed over to the Trust by the institute today.

The Trust is providing food to more than 5,000 sants every day. The Trust has made arrangements for their accommodation at Udaasin Ashram Ranopali. A kit is also being given to the sants, which includes a blanket, a pillow and a sheet. Apart from this, the Trust has made arrangements for the guests’ food on the temple premises. Guests will be served ‘satvik’ vegetarian food along with legume and millet based dishes. These dishes will be prepared by chefs from Varanasi and Delhi. Apart from this, ‘thepla’, almond barfi and ‘matar kachori’ will also be served to the guests.
