3 Pakistani terrorists killed in Kashmir encounter
A police officer said that a massive cordon and search operation was launched in the forests of Kellar after specific inputs about the presence of some terrorists.
Among the three neutralised local terrorists, 2 have been identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, who was involved in killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Purana Krishna Bhat and Umer Nazir of Anantnag.

Three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) involved in targeted killings were on Tuesday neutralised in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The encounter in village Mujh Marg took place early in the morning, said ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.

He said among the three neutralised local terrorists, 2 have been identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, who was involved in killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Purana Krishna Bhat and Umer Nazir of Anantnag. He was also involved in killing of Till Bahadur Thapa of Nepal.

One AK 47 rifle, 2 pistols and ammunition has been recovered from them. Troops of Army, CRPF and Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police cordoned the area following inputs about presence of terrorists who opened fire at security forces resulting in the encounter.
