Two men from Siliguri in West Bengal were killed and another was seriously injured after an ambulance they were travelling in, lost control and fell off a culvert in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours of Saturday.

When they were travelling through villages Sadamata and Bhuvnagar under the limits of Sitamau police station on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, the driver is suspected to have dozed off, resulting in the mishap.

As per Assistant Sub-Inspector Jitendra Sisodiya, the deceased were identified as Sabir and Shibu, both residents of Siliguri.
The injured man was admitted to the Mandsaur district hospital for treatment.
The police officer said that the postmortems of the deceased were conducted, and their families at Siliguri were informed about the tragedy.
