In a tragic road accident late Sunday night, two Haryana Police personnel were killed and two others seriously injured when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with iron pipes on Bundelkhand Expressway near Dhanauri village in Rath Kotwali area.
The accident occurred near pillar number 127 of the expressway when the police vehicle, a Bolero belonging to the Haryana Police Crime Branch, crashed into the rear of a stationary or slow-moving tractor-trolley. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled.

Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar (45), a resident of Tumbaheri in Jhajjar, and Constable Amit (25), from Sitaram Gate in Jhajjar, died on the spot. Both were part of the Gurgaon Crime Branch team and were reportedly on their way to Chhattisgarh for an ongoing investigation.
Sub-Inspector Indrajit (50) and Head Constable Rajesh (41), also from Haryana, sustained serious injuries. They were initially taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Rath for treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, Indrajit was later referred to Orai Medical College.
Speaking to police officials, Head Constable Rajesh confirmed that the team was on official duty for an inter-state investigation. Local police reached the accident site promptly to provide assistance.
Rath Kotwali SHO Rakesh Saroj stated that the bodies of the deceased have been taken for the post-mortem examination, and the injured are receiving appropriate medical care. A formal investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
