Bilquis Bano Edhi- ‘Mother of orphans’ passed away

Bilquis Edhi adopted an Indian girl Geeta, who was found sitting alone on the Samjhauta Express by the Pakistan Rangers at the Lahore railway station when she was just seven or eight years old. Geeta was later brought to India from Pakistan back in 2015.

“The day Pakistan acknowledged that two Indian nationals, Prashant Vaindan and Bari Lal, are in its custody, we approached the Pakistani authorities and sought consular access to them. We have also asked Pakistan not to harm them and ensure their early repatriation so that they can be reunited with their families,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said at a media briefing.

Pakistan Army denies move to enable Kulbhushan Jadhav to appeal in civilian court

"Speculations for amendment in Pak Army Act to implement ICJ (International Court of Justice) verdict regarding Kulbhushan Jadhav are incorrect. Various legal options for review and reconsideration of the case are being considered. Final status shall be shared in due course of time,” Pakistan Army spokesperson Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted Wednesday evening.
