After the success of ‘Veere Di Wedding’, director Shashanka Ghosh is ready to direct a web series on Times Group’s upcoming OTT platform.
Ghosh will be making a sex-comedy which will be launched on the new platform which Times Group built on top of their acquisition of MX Player.
“I have said it earlier and I will say it now, I am not looking out to make art. I want to make quality entertainment which is relatable and absorbing,” Shashanka commented on his soon to release series.

“When this script came to me, I could visualise the story my way. I understood the vision for this story and hence I agreed to come onboard. The medium does not make a difference, for me the story does a trick,” he added.
The director, who received both applause and criticism for ‘Veere Di Wedding’ especially for the provocative masturbation scene, will be taking another shot at sex in the millennial world in his web series.
‘Veere Di Wedding’ was a female-led blockbuster film about a group of dysfunctional, outspoken and yet strong women characters.
The audiences are excited to see his take on the internet platform especially because Ghosh will be the first director from the ‘100 crore club’ to direct a finite series.
