‘Love Adhura’ teaser introduces Karan Kundrra and Erica Fernandes

After 10 long years, Ekta Kapoor is all geared up to bring the old television hit Kasauti Zindagi Kay back to the small screen. The makers are yet to unveil the name of the actress who will play the famous character of Komoilka int he serial, but the romantic pair of Anurag and Prerna will be played by Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes, respectively.

Serioholics well remember the classic love story but ever thought why Ekta Kapoor named the characters Prerna and Anurag. A few days back, Ekta even started a quiz on her Twitter handle asking what could be the reason behind Prerna being given that name.

In her tweet, she revealed the reason for Anurag but didn’t revealed the mystery behind Prerna.
Ekta Kapoor finally revealed the big secret during an interaction with The Indian Express.
She said, “Sharman Joshi’s wife’s name is Prerna. She is the daughter of my dad’s close friend Prem Chopra. We were having a tough time trying to finalise the perfect name opposite Anurag. That’s when a colleague suggested Prem ji’s daughter Prerna. And I instantly knew I have the perfect name.”
She further added, “Anurag means love and Prerna means inspiration. Given the storyline, I think it’s the best names we could get.”
Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 is a remake of the hit Star Plus show starring Cezanne Khan, Ronit Roy and Shweta Tiwari. The reboot will premiere on September 25 on Star Plus.
