Other Bengaluru theatres, including Swagath Shankar Nag, Sri Vinayaka, Cinephile HSR Layout, Gopalan Grand Mall, Sri Krishna, Brundha RGB, Vaibhav, and Prasanna, have reported similar sell-outs for morning shows.
Ticket prices range from ₹1000 to ₹1500. Select theatres offer slightly lower rates at ₹800 for shows beginning around 9:30 to 10 AM.
Standard tickets for these later shows are priced between ₹300 and ₹800.
‘Jana Nayagan’ star cast and rumoured plot
‘Jana Nayagan’ also stars Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol. Rumours suggest that the film could be a remake of the 2023 Telugu hit ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ originally starring Balakrishna.
Vijay’s political transition
This film carries extra significance. It marks Vijay’s last cinematic outing before entering politics. He has announced plans to contest in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections this year under his newly launched party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Fans are therefore treating ‘Jana Nayagan’ not just as a festive release but as the final glimpse of Vijay before he shifts focus to public service.
Vijay's final film never reached theatres. It reached Telegram first, then piracy sites, then a local cable channel in Coimbatore. The trail of arrests has not stopped since.
Jana Nayagan missed its Pongal release after the CBFC stalled its certification. The producers took the fight to the Madras High Court and then the Supreme Court, but the film remains uncertified.
