Selena Gomez has given fans a small but sweet glimpse into what she wants her wedding to look like, and it’s all about keeping things cozy, simple, and meaningful.

In a recent conversation reported by ‘People’, the singer and actress opened up about her future wedding plans with fiancé Benny Blanco.

While there’s no date set yet, Selena already has some personal wishes for the big day, starting with dessert.

“Whenever that day comes,” she said, “I know I don’t want a big cake.” Instead, she’s thinking of something much smaller and more special. “I think I’d want a mini one for just us that we can freeze.”

And when it comes to her ideal dessert, Gomez surprised everyone by saying she doesn’t dream of fancy sweets. “My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy,” she shared with a smile. “My Nana’s biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me.”

Even though Selena has shared these cute details, the couple hasn’t started planning the wedding yet. Benny Blanco confirmed this earlier in July on the ‘Therapuss with Jake Shane’ podcast. “We both need to chill,” he joked, adding that they’ve been too busy with work to even begin organizing the event.

Blanco explained that right after their engagement in December 2024, both of them jumped straight back into work. “We were filming music videos, then it was the holidays, then promo work started, and Selena had to leave to film her show ‘Only Murders in the Building’,” he said.

After that, they barely got a week together before diving back into busy schedules. Now he’s writing another book too.

Because of all that, Blanco said, “We’ve been working on so many things that we haven’t even had time to get into it. But we’re so excited.”

As for the style of their future wedding? “I think it will be, like, chill,” Benny added, suggesting they’re aiming for a relaxed, low-key celebration rather than a flashy affair.

Food, it seems, is a big part of their relationship, and their love story. Benny Blanco shared how he went the extra mile to treat Selena Gomez on Valentine’s Day. “I got her Taco Bell, made her movie-theatre nachos, found her favorite pickles from Texas and deep-fried them,” he said. “Then I had all her candies and Hot Cheetos.”

He also gave a little advice to couples out there. “Even if you’re terrible at cooking, your partner will love it because you tried,” he said. “Ask your partner what they want to eat. Don’t just cook what ‘you’ want. And if you don’t know how to make it, learn.”

Though Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are taking things slow when it comes to planning the wedding, their love clearly shines through in the small, thoughtful things they do for each other.
