Salman Khan has started shooting for the third instalment of Dabangg.

The shooting began on Monday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The actor shared the news on social media.

“Back in our birthplace for ‘Dabangg 3’ shoot Arbaaz Khan,” Salman tweeted.

The film will be helmed by choreographer and filmmaker Prabhu Deva. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news of Salman Khan and Prabhu Deva coming together after 10 years for a collaboration. Their last project was the super-hit film Wanted.

Khan’s Wanted was also a game-changer for the actor after having delivered a series of films that failed to do any business at the box-office (God Tussi Great Ho, Heroes and Yuvraaj).

Wanted also initiated the trend of Khan’s famous “Eid releases”.

Dabangg 3‘s plot details are still under the wraps. Its first instalment was directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s brother Abhinav Kashyap and the second part by Arbaaz Khan.

The franchise also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Mahie Gill in key roles.

Salman’s other upcoming projects include Bharat and Inshallah.
