We have witnessed Kangana Ranaut as a shy Rani in Queen, but now it’s time to see her as the valiant Rani Laxmibai on screen. She is currently shooting for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi at the Junagarh Fort.
Few pictures from the sets have come out in the past showing Kangana in a powerful role. And now, the other pictures that are going viral on the internet don’t only show the valour of the warrior, but also hints at the personal life of the queen. Here are the pictures of Bollywood’s Rani Laxmibai.
Actor Sonu Sood has joined her to shoot his portion of the film. It seems he had an all-black outfit dress code. He is seen strolling around the set alone dressed in a black ethnic ensemble with hints of gold. He completed the look with a chain.
The images capture the moments before the shoot begins and show a group of foreign actors, essaying the role of soldiers from the British Army, posing together for the camera. Then there are other actors lending their support as villagers in the film.
From Kangana launching the poster in style by doing Ganga Aarti to Kangana getting injured with a sword to being criticised by a group of people who claimed it distorts historical facts — the film, which is being helmed by Krish, has grabbed headlines since its inception.
The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
