The 71st Miss World Beauty Pageant took place recently with 115 participants competing in the opening event in Delhi.

The event took place on Tuesday.

India is holding the Miss World contest after a 28-year hiatus. India last hosted the Miss World pageant in 1996.

During the introduction round, Sini Shetty, representing India, stood out by wearing a traditional Banarasi saree. She had earlier won the Femina Miss India title in 2022.

The 22-year-old from Mumbai, Maharashtra, celebrated India’s rich heritage by wearing a Banarasi saree valued at Rs 2.2 lakh.

She also shared lovely photos on Instagram, expressing her delight in representing India on a worldwide scale in traditional dress.

She further emphasized the saree’s significance in expressing India’s cultural depth and traditions, as well as its role as a symbol of Indian identity.

Shetty donned a Jayanti Reddy saree, which she paired with a delicate curl hairstyle and various expensive jewelry items, mangtikas, and bangles.

Raksha Singh styled Shetty for this particular event during the opening event.

The highly anticipated 71st Miss World Global Finals will be held on March 9 at Mumbai’s famous Jio World Convention Centre, which will be shown live on Sony LIV.
