Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone attended the Met Gala 2018 and got trolled for allegedly not following the theme. Every year, Met Gala has a unique theme, and this year’s theme was ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’. Celebs were all decked up as angels, popes and much more.
While Priyanka Chopra went for the Virgin Mary look with a jewel-studded headgear, Deepika opted for a subtle look. Deepika Padukone later shared a post regarding her attire and said she took inspiration from the robes worn by cardinals for choir. Was it a subtle way to slam all the trolls? Here is the Instagram post.
Though Deepika’s choice of dress was termed ‘disappointing’, beau Ranveer Singh seemed too impressed by it. Supporting her in the previous post, the actor took to the comment section and wrote, ‘Grace and poise’.
And unlike the netizens, Ranveer was floored by Deepika’s red and radiant look and expressed his views by commenting on her pictures. Here, have a look at his reactions.
Previously, in Cannes 2017, Deepika Padukone had to deal with similar reaction on social media. Talking about the incident, she had said, “Opportunity is not about what I am wearing, but to be at that event where I was. My intention was to have fun and some people will like what I am wearing and some won’t.”
FWICE, which represents around 30 lakh cine workers, had sent Ranveer three meeting invitations before issuing the directive. The actor's team received no advance and claims the film lacked a locked script even years after development began.
He spent 17 years building the system. Now he's asking a court to dismantle part of it. The man who once ran Bollywood's most powerful bodies has turned around, and filed a petition against one of them.
The sets were never built. The cameras never rolled. Yet 'Don 3' has managed to become one of Bollywood's most dramatic productions, playing out not on screen, but in boardrooms, federation offices, and now, in a phone call from Salman Khan.
