After featuring in Baywatch, Priyanka Chopra is back on screen with her second Hollywood film titled A kid like Jake. Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch Priyanka again, but, believe us, the kid here is the actual star in the film.

The makers of the film released the first trailer for the film on Friday and the story yet revealed is heartwarming.

Bringing to light the complexity of gender identity and modern-day parenting, the film deals with a boy’s story who loves princesses and fairytales more than toy cars. A kindergarten teacher played by Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer brings it to the knowledge of Jake’s parents played by Jim Parsons and Claire Danes that gender-nonconforming might not just be a phase. Priyanka Chopra would essay the role of Amal, a friend of Jake’s parents in the film.

Though we just got a few glimpses of PeeCee in the trailer, it is still not disappointing for the issue they have touched upon in the film. A kid like Jake got premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2018, Priyanka Chopra attended the event along with her team.

Talking about the film on social media platform, Instagram, Priyanka said, “So proud to be a part of #AKidLikeJake, a story that humanises the struggle of parents trying to do right by their kid. This film breaks down the barriers of being socially correct and encourages you to embraces the qualities that make each one of us unique. So happy to bring my support to this already stellar cast. See you in the pictures…  #SundanceFilmFestival”.
