“I’ve been battling some health issues and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease,” Timberlake wrote. “I’m not saying this to get sympathy, but to be honest about what’s been going on. If you or someone you know has had it, you understand. It can take a real toll, both mentally and physically.”

Lyme disease, a bacterial infection spread through tick bites, can lead to serious health problems if not treated early. Common symptoms include fatigue, joint pain, and nerve issues, many of which Timberlake experienced while touring.

He admitted that when he first got the diagnosis, he felt stunned. “I was shocked for sure. But at least I could finally understand why I was feeling such intense nerve pain or complete exhaustion on stage,” he wrote. “I had to make a decision, either stop the tour or push through it. I chose to keep going because performing brings me joy.”

Timberlake also revealed that he had been nervous about sharing something so personal. “I grew up believing that you keep things like this private,” he said. “But I’m trying to be more open, so people don’t get the wrong idea. I want to help others who might be going through something similar.”

The ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ kicked off in April last year in Vancouver and took him around the globe over the next 15 months.
