It was an emotional moment at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2018 for the Kapoor clan when they accepted the Best Actress award on behalf of legendary actor Sridevi.
Boney Kapoor, who accepted the award on behalf of his late wife, got emotional as he took the trophy. He teared up as he said, “I dedicate this award to the entire team of MOM. I have mixed emotions today. I miss her every minute and second of my life. I still feel she is around here…I want you all to support Janhvi like you supported her mother.”

At this emotional moment, son Arjun Kapoor and brother Anil Kapoor went up to the stage to comfort Boney Kapoor. Anil touched Boney’s feet as a mark of respect and said, “She was a true genius. The country, the world and our family miss her.”
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui who received the Supporting Actor (Male) award for the film MOM, dedicated the award to Sridevi. He took to his Instagram and said it was a “Once in a lifetime opportunity” to be able to work with India’s first female superstar. He added, “Living Legend #Rekhaji u stole the show last night, it was an honour to get the award from u. @IIFA 2018 had d best atmosphere ever.”
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter.
The star-studded IIFA event was back in Bangkok after a gap of 10 years.
