In this Sriram Raghavan directorial crime thriller, Ayushmann Khurrana played the character of a visually unpaired pianist who get’s intertwined in a murder mystery. The actor received critical appreciation for his distinguished performance and made him shine in this unconventional role.

Badhaai Ho

In contrast to Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho is a light hearted comedy depicting the story of a middle aged couple getting pregnant to their son’s dismay. Ayushmann aced this role too and his mental transition from a relentless son to an understanding one was strikingly compelling.

Meri Pyari Bindu

The oddly beautiful love story of Abhimanyu and Bindu made the audience head over heels in love with the couple. Director Akash Roy’s coming-of-age romantic tale holds back the sentiments and unexpressed emotions of two best friends falling in love but not ending in a happily ever after.  Ayushmann stole away hearts with this film where he paired opposite Parineeti Chopra.

Subh Mangal Saavdhan

This film deals with another contentious topic but in a subtle way. It follows the story of Mudit Sharma who is struggling with erectile dysfunction and this puts his love life in problem. Ayushmann Khurrana’s top notch performance is the soul of the film and the hilarious dialogues will give you the best punches in tummy.

Bala

A film woven around the social taboos related to physical appearance, the film fights for the concept of self-acceptance. Ayushmann Khurrana broke the mould by playing a character of a bald man ashamed of his outer appearance. An empathetic Bala delivers the most convencing act making the film highly appreciated by critics.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s last release Anek was a hard hitting political thriller that received mixed reviews from cine buffs. In the work front, the actor will star in Anubhuti Kashyap’s social comedy ‘Doctor G’ where he’ll be pairing up with Rakul Preet Singh. The film will hit the theatres on October 14.
