Actor Disha Patani is on a roll after the mammoth success of Baaghi 2 and now she has her sights set on Sanghamitra, which was delayed because of the actor’s hectic schedule.

Sanghamitra, an upcoming trilingual period drama, will feature Disha in the lead role. Sanghamitra will be made on a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore,it is learnt.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film will be very much at par with Baahubali in terms of CGI and VFX effects. The sets of the film are also said to cost the makers a fortune as creating historical sets are always expensive.

Sundar C’s upcoming film will hit the floors soon as now Disha is free to give her best to the film. Back in January, the team of Sanghamitra decided to postpone the shooting of the film due to Disha’s busy schedule.

A source close to the film was quoted as saying: “Shooting will take place in Hyderabad on sets are very similar to Baahubali. It will be filmed on a grand scale and if everything goes according to the plan, the first part will be unveiled next year.”

So, viewers may witness another magnum opus in 2019.

Earlier, it was reported that Shruti Hassan will essay the titular role but due to some unknown reasons, that didn’t materialise. It was then when Sundar C and his team decided to cast Disha in the lead role as they believe Disha’s growing popularity in Bollywood will give the film a bigger market.

In an interview to a leading daily, Disha also revealed that she will be learning sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat for filming jaw-dropping action sequences in the film.

Sanghamitra is expected to be released as a two-part film (just like Baahubali) and will be shot in various locations over the course of 18-months.
