The much anticipated Diwali release of this year, Thugs of Hindostan, managed to mint the highest single-day sales despite unfavorable reviews. The multi-starrer seems to have benefitted from the pre-release hype and an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif.

Thugs of Hindostan has set a big benchmark by earning Rs 50 crore on Day One. The film has surpassed SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali, which earned Rs 40.73 crore in a single day, as reported by Box Office India.
