Actor Swara Bhasker is known for speaking her mind, and she did just that recently when someone on social media tried to insult her husband, politician Fahad Ahmad.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a rude message about Swara and her husband. The post mocked Swara for appearing on the reality show ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’ with Fahad.

The user made a mean comparison, saying Swara copied actor Parineeti Chopra by bringing her husband to shows for “publicity.” He also insulted Fahad by calling him a “Chhapri” and a “street vendor from Dongri.”

Swara didn’t let the comment slide. She took a screenshot of the tweet and the user’s profile, and she called out the hate in her own post. She pointed out that the word “Chhapri” is actually a casteist term. It’s used to insult people who come from communities that traditionally build thatched roofs or “chappars.”

Swara wrote that using such language was not only offensive, but also revealed the classist and casteist thinking of the person behind the tweet.
