Ranveer Singh returns to underground rap, Gully Boys’ Murad revived
Ranveer Singh's Murad character from 'Gully Boy' makes a celebrated comeback, reuniting with the underground rap scene in a recent cameo appearance.
Ranveer Singh is all set to be seen in Rohit Shetty’s next Simmba. After many speculations on the female lead, reports suggested Janhvi Kapoor and Priya Prakash Varrier were being considered.
But now it has been confirmed by the makers that Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, has been roped in for the role she will play in Rohit Shetty’s direction.
Karan Johar took to his Twitter handle to announce the name of the leading actress. His tweet reads, “Sara Ali Khan in #Simmba with Ranveer Singh directed by ROHIT SHETTY! Releasing on the 28th of December 2018! This winter gets hotter!!!!”

Rohit Shetty also confirmed the news on his Instagram handle. He posted the picture of himself with Karan Johar and Sara Ali Khan with the caption, “Sara Ali Khan – The Simmba girl #Simmba #SaraTheSimmbaGir
Sara will share screen space with Ranveer Singh in the cop drama in which Ranveer will play the role of Sangram Bhalerao and the film is slated for the screens on December 28, 2018.
Sara is currently shooting for her debut film Kedarnath. The film, which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, is expected to release on November 28, 2018. If the makers of both the films stick to their release dates, Sara the newbie in the tinsel town will have two releases in this year.
