Orry summoned by Mumbai anti-narcotics cell in Rs 252 crore drug case

Mumbai’s social media scene is buzzing as influencer Orry, one of the city’s most talked-about personalities, has been summoned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) in connection with a high-profile Rs 252 crore drug case.

The influencer, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, is going to appear at the Ghatkopar unit of the ANC at 10 am on Thursday for questioning, according to sources.

This marks the second time Orry has found himself in the eye of a substance-related storm. Earlier, he and seven others faced police action in Jammu and Kashmir for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, near the Vaishno Devi shrine, a move that violated local laws prohibiting alcohol and non-vegetarian food consumption. The incident triggered an FIR for hurting religious sentiments and the police took a stern approach.
