Kareena Kapoor-starrer ‘Veere Di Wedding’ pushes release date to June 1

Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding will be released on June 1 instead of May 18, producer Ekta Kapoor announced on Twitter on Friday. The film features Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles.

The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on May 18, has been pushed by two weeks.

Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted on Friday, “A wedding to remember and a date that’s unforgettable! Block your calendars for Veere Di Wedding on 1st June 2018. Also, the producer of the film Ekta Kapoor tweeted, “1 June is one big day!!!! Veere di wedding arrives on my lakkshya ‘s bday!!!! Ab shaadi aur bday pe aap sab ko nimantran hai.” June 1 also happens to be Tusshar Kapoor’s son Lakkshya’s birthday.

The Permanent Roommates actor Sumeet Vyas will be playing Kareena Kapoor Khan’s love interest in the film.

The lead actress of the film Sonam Kapoor also retweeted the same with the caption, “A wedding to remember and a date that’s unforgettable! Block your calendars for Veere Di Wedding on 1st June 2018. RSVP nowww! :)”
