Kareena Kapoor Khan is popular not just for her on-screen charm but also for her strong sense of self. Over a career spanning 26 years, she has become a role model for countless women who look up to her not only for her acting but also for her approach to life, independence, and financial wisdom.
On Wednesday evening, the actress attended an engaging session in Delhi as the face of HSBC Premier. The conversation took a personal turn when Kareena shared how her understanding of wealth has drastically changed over the years.

“Over time, my idea of wealth has definitely evolved,” Kareena reflected. “Working for the last 26 years has completely changed the way I look at money and success. When I started my career, wealth meant something very different. Today, it’s more than just having money in the bank.”
She emphasized that wealth today also includes equality and self-respect, especially for women in professions historically dominated by men.
“Actors are increasingly standing up for equal pay, and I think that has strengthened women’s voices in the industry. Wealth now also represents independence, choice, and character,” she explained.
Kareena Kapoor also opened up about how she has always prioritized maintaining her independence, even after her marriage to actor Saif Ali Khan. “As life changes, as you experience work and relationships, you realize the importance of independence,” she said. “For me, it was always very clear that I wanted to maintain my identity and career, even after getting married. That has never changed.”
Motherhood, she added, has brought a new perspective on managing wealth. “Now, as a mother, I want to enjoy my wealth in the present, but I also want to plan for the future. It’s about finding the right balance between enjoying life and being responsible,” Kareena said.
On the professional front, Kareena is keeping busy with her latest project, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming movie ‘Daayra’. She will be sharing the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
