Just a few days earlier, on October 11, Babil returned to Instagram after nearly six months of silence. His comeback post revealed glimpses of his personal journey.

Alongside images from a recent photoshoot, he wrote candidly about his mental health battles: “Didn’t mean to eavesdrop, This glass house has lean walls. I wore my heart on my sleeves, now I have blood-soaked t-shirts. I needed time to heal, My demons left me with deep cuts. Insomnia and panic had me making weird confessions. I was crying out for help, I couldn’t stifle my expression, the toll was heavy on my health, my soul was tired of repression, you were fighting with your girl while I was fighting my depression, wait.”

Earlier this year, he had shared a video expressing his frustrations with the film industry. It went viral and sparked concern among fans and colleagues. The video was later deleted, and his family and team stepped in to provide clarity.

In an official statement, they said, “Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days – and this was one of them.”

Fans have continued to show support for Babil. They shower him praises for speaking so openly about a subject that remains stigmatized in India.
