Bollywood actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Armaan Kohli was arrested on Tuesday (June 12) for assaulting his girlfriend.

Kohli, who is infamous for his stint in the seventh season of the controversial reality TV show, was booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 524 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidations) of the Indian Penal Code.

The arrest was made on Tuesday by Santacruz police on a complaint filed by his girlfriend, a 35-year-old model from Mumbai.

According to a report in HT, the couple was in a relationship for the last three years and used to live together in a flat in suburban Santacruz.

Based on her statement, the duo had an argument over monetary issue at their flat on June 3 and during the altercation, he allegedly pushed her and she fell on the stairs.

Armaan’s ex-partner also accused him of pulling her hair and banging her head on the floor. She sustained head and knee injuries in the incident and was admitted to a nearby hospital by her driver.

Kohli was absconding since then but his arrest was made on Tuesday in Mumbai, confirmed a senior police official.

Kohli is the son of veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli and has appeared in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
