Robin Kaye was a familiar and beloved figure behind the scenes in the world of music television. She had been a part of the ‘American Idol’ family since 2009 and contributed her expertise to numerous other shows, including ‘The Singing Bee’, ‘Hollywood Game Night’, ‘Lip Sync Battle’, and several Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

Her colleagues remember her as someone who brought warmth, kindness, and professionalism to every project.

An ‘American Idol’ spokesperson expressed sorrow over the loss, speaking to the media, “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever, and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”

The investigation into the tragedy quickly developed when Los Angeles police arrested 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian.

According to LAPD officials, Boodarian was allegedly burglarizing the couple’s home on July 10 while they were out. When Robin and Thomas returned, Boodarian is accused of shooting both of them before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police say they had received reports of a burglary at the same residence on the day of the murders. But initially they found “no signs of forced entry or trouble.”

That changed when they conducted the welfare check later and found the bodies.

Boodarian is currently in custody. But as of now, he has no public defender and has not made any statements.
