John Dewey, an American philosopher and an educational reformer said, “Education is not preparation for life. Education  is life itself.”

Keeping this thought in mind, 13th orientation programme for first-year BTech and MBA students was organised by Applied sciences and Humanities department of ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida, on 1 August 2018.

The programme started with students and parents being welcomed with a tilak ceremony. They enriched their knowledge in the presence of notable luminaries like Prof Vikas Singh, Executive Director; Dr Gagan Deep Arora, Dean Academic Administration; Dr Sanjay Yadav, Dean student Welfare; and heads of departments Dr OP Chaudary, Dr Ashish Gupta, Prof Dinesh Chandra and Dr Monika Jain.

The welcome address was given by Prof (Dr) Vikas Singh and he focused on the all-round development of the students. He emphasized that the development of the heads, hearts and hands will prepare the students for success in life. This was followed by registration and documentation process with a guided campus visit.

The post-lunch session included an open house session of parents and students with Dr Vikas Singh.

At the end of the orientation programme, honourable Vice Chairman Sohil Chadha extended his heartiest welcome to all the newcomers and conveyed his best wishes to the students.
