Youth drowns in MCD’s swimming pool in Shalimar Bagh

A 25-year-old youth, identified as Ankit Kumar, drowned while swimming in a pool maintained by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), in Shalimar Bagh area of the national capital.

Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital by his younger brother and friends but was declared dead on arrival, police said on Monday, adding that the incident occurred on Sunday evening around 5:30 pm¸ ACP, Shalimar Bagh said.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered under Section 106(1) of the BNS in the case, it added.

Further investigation is on, the police official added.
