Springdales School marks 70th anniversary, founder’s birthday with grand celebration

Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, celebrated its 70th Anniversary during a commemorative function held here, recently. The school, which was set up in 1955, also marks the birthday of Founder Manager Yudhister Kumar.

The event was attended by Lara Swart, Counsellor-Political, South African High Commission, school’s management, staff, students, alumni, former-teachers and the founder members. Priti Mehra, Officiating Principal welcomed the guests

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales Schools traced the journey of the school, its achievements, successes, and happy times.

The Junior School students paid a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit of Rajni Kumar, Founder Principal of Springdales School, through their presentation titled “Remembering Nani Kumar.” The event featured a captivating PowerPoint presentation, “Glimpses of Glory – The DK Way,” which took the audience on a nostalgic journey through the school’s rich legacy and remarkable milestones.

Adding vibrancy to the occasion, the young performers brought the stage to life with energetic acts like ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘Timeless Beats’. Their spirited performances were met with enthusiastic applause. The atmosphere in the auditorium was further enriched by a musical medley of ‘Evergreen Melodies’, beautifully rendered by the school’s talented singers and musicians.

The grand finale, ‘Let’s Celebrate’, was a dazzling display of talent and joy, as the school’s dancers delivered a spirited performance that brought the celebration to a rousing close.

Later, Mehra along with the members of the Managing Board, Springdales Education Society and the guests cut the birthday cake to commemorate the occasion.
